The Francis Howell School District has announced the hiring of Michael Parker as the new dean of students at Francis Howell North High School, effective July 1, 2019. “While I am sad to be leaving the classroom and the students I have had the pleasure to interact with on a daily basis, I am truly excited for what lies ahead in my new role serving the FHN community as dean of students,” said Parker. “Working at Howell North for the last 18 years has afforded me the opportunity to build and foster many positive relationships and I am thrilled that I will get the opportunity to continue to serve the FHN community, students, and staff in a different capacity!”

Parker has taught social studies at FHN since 2003. He has participated in the Leadership in Education Apprenticeship Program, led the FHN U.S. History PLC, and designed and implemented standards-based history curriculum. This year he has also served as the assistant activities director and events manager. His extensive coaching experience includes football, track and field, and soccer.

Parker received a bachelor’s degree in social science education from Blackburn College. He also has a master’s degree in educational administration from Lindenwood University.
